A huge thank you to everyone who supported us with Sport Relief. We had to reset our target half way through fundraising because we reached it – and then we smashed our second target of £750! So our total fundraising so far is £843 (and there may be more to come).
We are delighted to raise this money which will go to such a good cause, and we really appreciate your generosity.
We all took part in different places across the country. Proud dad Paul completed three miles with his daughter in Milton Keynes. It was the furthest she had ever run so it was a real achievement. There were thousands of people there and the atmosphere was tremendous.
Liz and her family, including her wonderful two year old twin girls (dressed up in ladybird and bumble bee outfits), made the mile at Rotherfield Park in Hampshire, a private estate with lots of deer (they had a bit of a shock when everyone turned up) and a fabulous grand house. Chris also ran here but steamed ahead to complete three miles.
Claire ran three miles in Frome along the country lanes, loudly cheered on by dancing and singing supporters. Ruth ran in the beautiful Cotswold countryside with her four year old son who is now brandishing his medal at nursery. It was teamwork in action on a wonderful sunny day.
So we just wanted to say ‘thank you’ to all our sponsors.
