A ‘titanic shift’ under way

A fundamental change is sweeping our economies today as relationships between individuals and organisations are put on a new footing.

Ctrl-Shift’s PIE 2015 Growth Through Trust conference on Dec 8 highlighted just how big an opportunity – and how big a change – this is.

The (over-subscribed) event brought together more than 300 delegates from over 70 big brands and large organisations – and nearly as many start-ups and challenger brands – to capture the excitement of what Unilever VP Global Data and Marketing Analytics Shawn O’Neal called ‘the titanic shift’ generated by customers ‘owning’ their own data.

The message to business leaders – in strategy, innovation, commerce, marketing, risk and compliance – is that the old models that we’re working so hard to fine-tune and fix are making way for new models which transform the agenda.
