Research

At its core our business is all about providing the evidence that change is happening in the market. Our insight is an intrinsic part of our all our processes - from events, to market watch, to case studies and our consulting assignments.

This virtuous circle means that our thinking is always based on up-to-date market knowledge. But our thinking time is also very valuable - it’s sometimes quite easy to spot emerging trends - the trick for successful businesses is in responding appropriately.

Our research is generally UK focused but our work inevitably means that we have to look internationally for new emerging technologies, services and products.

Our research is delivered using five methods

  • Heads up thought-leadership: designed to help gain sight of the development of a long-term strategic imperative and need for change.
  • Market Forecasts: a three year look at how trends are affecting particular markets. These research reports are typically three month assignments and the evidence base is drawn from an interview programme of 20 businesses or case studies.
  • Market Analysis: once you have decided that action is needed, our market analysis helps you make the right decisions. Our analysis is based on a broader market research interview programme (ca 50 interviews).
  • Benchmarking Reports: focused on helping businesses understand where they are today, our benchmarking research is based on desk-research. Here we assess business performance based on the consumer perspective. It’s a bit like mystery shopping but it reveals the true cust
  • Catalogues: a review and listing of all the tools available to help you improve your business performance.

Our events and market watch services are an intrinsic part of our research process. We run small scale events to get deep into key issues and then to discuss the ramifications for businesses. Our research team keeps a watching brief across a huge numbers of websites and other sources in order that we can spot trends early. We’re always looking for new innovations so if you come across something interesting just contact us.
