To hoard or to share: midata and the personal data sharing revolution

For organisations that don't want to find themselves behind the curve and miss out on the opportunities of midata, this one-day event will be covering the opportunities and threats, implications and considerations of consumers empowered by their personal data.

It combines our close knowledge of the midata programme gained from working as a strategic advisor on it for the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills; our market analysis; and our hands-on experience with clients, to create what we're confident will be a helpful and stimulating business-focused forum.

You'll learn about the midata vision in the context of a rapidly changing personal data landscape and the rise of new consumer information services; how some businesses are responding; and about some of the thorny issues that should be addressed right now.

The day will kick off with the context setting from the UK government, consumer groups and Ctrl-Shift. The next session focuses on what large customer-facing businesses are already doing with data (Barclaycard, Experian and Google). After lunch you'll learn about new solutions in the market (including Noddle). We'll then have some deep-dives into some of the residual problems before having a closing panel session, led by the Government's midata chair.

You'll see from the programme below, we've planned a mix of presentations and interactive round tables to give delegates plenty of time to meet and network with other business leaders and to discuss opportunities and ideas.

We thank our sponsors Callcredit, Mydex and Royal Mail for supporting the event.
